• The Sky's the limit

Sky Sports sits across many aspects of my manifesto agenda. Currently, there is an unsigned TV contract on the table at the Scottish Premier League (SPL) awaiting deportment by the catastrophe waitress standing at the table of Rangers FC.

It seems highly likely that Rangers will be afforded some 'special club' status resulting in minmal and frankly unacceptable sanctions for their directors' transgressions spanning over the last decade (note - not just Craig Whyte's recent tenure). If money talks, you can bet it talks dirty where football is concerned and the SPL and other players in charge are spotting the train that's about to leave. 'Choose life, choose a bally big television, choose the £16M that Sky are offering the SPL for the next TV deal - but only if Rangers remain in the SPL, choose not to do the right thing',. perhaps?

So..., should we sit down quietly in our seats and be complicit in our silence of this corruption; of this further defamation of character that is visiting football in the new soccernomics? That is, if you think football - as an abstract phenomenon that has its own character - can be subject to a defamation claim, which is an idea I might be following up with IFAB.

Anyway, I have more to say on this (Hasta la vista and all that).....
